Production update: 'Imam's Little Soldier', 'Azure Days’

Iranian television is gearing up for an eclectic lineup of series.

Iranian television is gearing up for an eclectic lineup of series and diverse offerings.

Iranian cinema director Amir-Abbas Rabiee is set to make a series focused on the political life of Asadollah Lajevardi, a prominent figure in the contemporary history of the Islamic Revolution.

The script for the series, based on a book by Maryam Erfanian, is written by Mehdi Kiasat. 'Azure Days' marks Rabiee's directorial debut.

The story centers on Lajevardi's debates and conversations with various groups before the Islamic Revolution.

The series is currently in the pre-production phase.

Another addition to the Iranian TV production lineup is 'Imam's Little Soldier', directed by Mohammad-Baqer Mofidikia.

The series, now in pre-production phase, is based on the memoirs of Mehdi Tahanian, a 13-year-old freedom fighter during the Holy Defense era.

The script took almost three years to complete, and the filming process is expected to be longer than usual due to its large production scale.

The memoirs of Tahanian have been published in a book of approximately 650 pages.
